Thief should have been quicker

North Bay Police have charged a North Bay man in connection with a break and enter that took place in an apartment on Worthington Street East on Friday evening. At 8:45 p.m.

North Bay Police have charged a North Bay man in connection with a break and enter that took place in an apartment on Worthington Street East on Friday evening.

At 8:45 p.m., a thief entered a unit in a Worthington Street East apartment building with no right to be in the premises.

A sharp-eyed witness, who suspected criminal activity, contacted police and they immediately raced to the scene.

They were fast enough to arrest the thief as he was leaving the building.

Police charged James McFarlane, age 26, with one count of break and enter with intent and one count of breach of probation.

He was held in custody pending bail.
