Thefts from Tackaberry Drive result in arrests

A concerned citizen took action and called police shortly before 6 a.m. on Saturday to report two suspicious men checking parked vehicles in the Tackaberry Drive area of North Bay.

A concerned citizen took action and called police shortly before 6 a.m. on Saturday to report two suspicious men checking parked vehicles in the Tackaberry Drive area of North Bay.

Police say that the two men entered a downtown retirement home and stole a number of food items.

The two then went to the Tackaberry Drive area where they broke into a parked vehicle and stole a smart phone.

Both were arrested on Gormanville Road shortly after 6:30 a.m.

North Bay Police charged:

Nathan Theodore Goulais-Renaud, age 20, of North Bay, with:

  • One count of break and enter and theft;
  • One count of theft under $5,000; and
  • One count of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking

and

Jordan Michael Julian Beaucage, age 21, of North Bay, with:

  • One count of break and enter and theft; and
  • One count of theft under $5,000.

The two were later released from custody with court dates scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th.
