The Davedi Club was dripping with nervous energy Sunday, as fifteen local teens were full of out all the stops as they tried to impress the panel of judges as they vied for the title of Miss Teen North Bay.

The girls were put through their paces on a number of levels that included an interview, group dance number, fashion show, talent and of course the evening gown segment.

In the end Amanda Nadon-Langlois stood out and was crowned the 2010 Miss Teen North Bay.

“It feels great I'm so surprised,” says a beaming Nadon-Langlois on her win.

"I don't even know ... words can't explain how I feel right now ... it's amazing."

Pageant President Kensey Butkevich says the pageant is not based on who is the prettiest girl, but instead focuses on confidence and positivity.

“When Joan Hart asked me to take over the pageant six years ago that was my one goal set out not for it to be a beauty pageant but to help the girls gain confidence and to realize that they are beautiful inside and out.”

Nadon-Langlois qualifies to move on to Miss Teen North Ontario Pageant which is being held in Cochrane this year. However, she told reporters she has her eyes set on Miss North Ontario and will have to wait a year
