The Ontario Northland Christmas train will be steaming through to North Bay tonight at 6 p.m. at the North Bay Station (100 Station road).

Ontario Northland Crews put lights and decorations on the train for the annual event.

The event pulls in as many as 800 people each year and the mild temperatures shouldn’t hurt the turnout tonight.

Last year the event was highlighted when Santa was seen standing at the front of the engine.

This year Santa, Choo Choo Bear and some other characters will be on hand to visit with the kids.

The ONR will have holiday music and the caboose will be open for children to explore.

Visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the North Bay Food Bank.

There is limited parking at the Station, however, you can access the Station through Northgate near the food court.
