The North Bay Battalion got in on the new Mannequin Challenge which is taking the sports world by storm.

Wikepedia describes he Mannequin Challenge as “a viral Internet video trend where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a video is recorded, usually with the song "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd playing in the background.”

The Battalion version shows players like Zach Shankar having his skates tied by rookie Rhys Forhan and Daniil Vertiy standing inside a garbage can wearing his hockey helmet.

Assistant coach John Dean can be seen frozen writing out a play on the big board in the Battalion dressing room.

Perhaps the video is inspired by Battalion Alum Mathew Santos who partakes in the Toledo Walleye version of the Mannequin Challenge where he is sitting on a Zamboni that has just ran over one of his teammates.
