I want to say thank you,
but where to begin?
To miss anybody,
is surely a sin!
To doctors, to nurses,
to all frontline staff.
For care and devotion
on all our behalf.
To police, to firefighters,
to all EMS workers.
Who help keep us safe
from dangers and lurkers.
To teachers, to students,
with nose to the grindstone.
Who continue to gather,
all together...all alone.
To farmers, to truckers,
to grocery stores all.
I have no need to worry,
for you answered the call.
To the leaders we know,
and to those we do not.
Words of caring and comfort
will not soon be forgot.
Rereading my first verse
I now come to find,
I just want to say thank you
to ALL who've been kind.
Thank you for reading,
these words that I rhyme.
Perhaps too, we will meet,
someday...sometime.
