Teen dies as a result of accident injuries

A two-car motor vehicle collision Friday night on Lake Nosbonsing Road has left a 14-year-old Corbeil boy dead.

The North Bay Police Service said Karl Hansenberger, of Corbeil, succumbed to his injuries as a result of the collision.

Hansenberber had been a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision.

Police said the accident took place at 6:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic being driven westbound on Lake Nosbonsing Road lost control and was struck broadside by an eastbound Ford Escort.

The drivers of both cars were taken to the North Bay General Hospital, treated and released.

The boy was taken to Ottawa Children's Hospital, where he died.
