Kasha Johnson is all smiles after winning a Taylor Swift concert package at the Northgate Shopping Centre this weekend.
Taylor Swift is hot ticket and soon Kasha Johnson will be seeing her favourite music artist live when Swift hits the stage in at the Rogers Centre in Toronto this October.
“My boyfriend is getting sick of me blaring her CD around the house all day, so I’m a pretty big fan,” shared Johnson.
She was one of five finalists that went head to head in a timed shopping challenge. The goal was to demonstrate the best summer outfit on the runway. Each contestant was given a $200 gift card and had 30 minutes to choose their clothes and accessories. They also could only spend $50 in any given store. They then had to strut the runway, where five judges scored their fashion choices.
“From the beginning to the end, it was really tough to choose a winner,” shared marketing director and judge, Jordanna Grant. “Even choosing the five finalists was tricky, we had so many amazing photo entries….and today even picking the final winner was tough, all the outfits were amazing, they all did a great job.”
Kasha Johnson struts the catwalk in order to impress the judges at the “Swift Shopping Summer Style Event”.
Once notes were compared, Johnson was named the winner. “This is amazing; I am so pumped right now. It’s awesome, plus I get to keep all of these fabulous clothes.” The self proclaimed shopaholic did admit the experience was more challenging than she expected.
“I thought I had it planned out good, but once you do it, I actually forgot a bag in one of the stores and had to go back so it was stressful.”
Johnson plans to bring her best friend and cousin “Kari” to the concert. The two will also have free one night accommodation and diner in Toronto.
