North Bay Police Service received a complaint yesterday afternoon regarding suspicious door-to-door salesmen.
They told a North Bay resident that they represented third-party contractors for the City of North Bay, checking water meters for temperature and fluoride levels.
North Bay Police found the individuals and learned that they represent a legitimate Markham-based energy business selling residential water softener products and carbon filters, and that they are carrying proper identification.
However, they do not represent the City of North Bay.
