Final preparations are underway as the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area gets set to host Summer Stroll 2006.

Jeff Serran, DIA Manager, the events that the DIA host are fashioned to entertain people of all ages and offers and opportunity to get our residents and tourists to downtown North Bay, and for merchants to give back to the city.

“It's just our way to give back to the community and have a fun day for everyone involved of all ages.”

Serran described the day as being packed with events from one end of Main Street to the other including musical performances from ‘That 70s Group’ and ‘Rude Boys Fashioned Music Jam'.

“Tomorrow, they can expect everything from demonstrations from the Porter’s Highland Dancers to the North Bay Karate Club, the club is hosting an open class at 10 a.m. so every one of all ages can come down and have a free class with them,” says Serran.

“One of the things that were doing, we've teamed up with one of our media partners and were doing the Downtown Dad Dash tomorrow in that goes from 11 till 1 o'clock.”

“There are five dads that qualified and are going to be doing different stunts at different businesses,” he says.

The ‘Top Dad’ walks away with 500 Downtown Dollars.
