Canadian rock icon Burton Cummings will headline this year's Summer in the Park festival on the Civic holiday weekend.

He is the former lead singer and keyboard player for the band The Guess Who and is best known for songs like American Woman, These Eyes, and Stand Tall.
Alan Frew, the lead singer for the Canadian band, Glass Tiger, will also be part of the classic rock Saturday. http://www.alanfrew.com/
There will be a country component this year, with Johnny Reid, (Friday night headliner) https://www.johnnyreid.com/ Michelle Wright http://www.michelle-wright.com/ and Autumn Hill http://autumnhillmusic.com/ .
Local acts will also be added.
The announcement was made at the start on Monday's city council meeting, live streamed on BayToday, by Chairman John Strang and Dee Adrian, in charge of the entertainment.
Strang called the festival an "economic driver" for the city.
And prices have also changed....until May 31st - $25 plus HST, until June 30th - $35 plus HST, July 1st to Festival - $50 inclusive of HST.
"I challenge anyone in Ontario to find a better deal," Strang told council.
Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette was the first to buy a wristband, enthusiastically whipping out cash as he sat in his council seat.
The goal is to sell 10,000 wristbands.
"We've done our homework," said Strang of the job the committee has done.
