Cuong Dhin of Sturgeon Falls is celebrating after winning $183,032.40 from the LOTTO MAX September 30th draw. (

Cuong matched six out of the seven numbers plus the bonus number on his ticket to win the secondary prize.

“I checked my ticket the day after the draw,” shared Cuong while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings.

“I scanned my ticket in the ticket checker and the words, ‘Big Winner’ appeared on the screen. At first I thought I won $183 but I did notice other numbers as well and I didn’t know what that meant.”

Cuong left the store and headed to work.

“I returned to the store after work and the retailer validated my ticket. That’s when I realized just how much I won! I have been playing the same numbers for 19 years so to see those numbers come up was very exciting. I intend to keep playing these numbers again.”

Plans are already underway for Cuong’s windfall.

“I would love to treat myself to a new vehicle, maybe an SUV. It’s all happened very quickly so I still need some time to think. This win is an incredible boost for my life. I am overwhelmed, excited and very grateful,” concluded Cuong.

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $3 billion in prizes, including 48 jackpot wins and 443 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stop and Shop on King Street in Sturgeon Falls.
