Street crime investigation nets $173K in drugs and cash

A two-month-long police investigation resulted in the arrest of a North Bay man and the seizure of $173K in drugs and cash.

Throughout January and February, the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit investigated drug trafficking.

Yesterday a man was seen getting into a rideshare vehicle after leaving a residence. 

With the help of the Patrol Section, the car was stopped on High Street and the suspect was identified and arrested. A search revealed a large quantity of cocaine, Fentanyl, and cash. The accused was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and further searches were conducted.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • 376.9 grams of Fentanyl
  • 309.6 grams of cocaine
  • $4,530 in cash

Police estimate the street value of the drugs and cash at $173,597.

Jason Robert Wall, 53, of North Bay, is charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Wall was held for a bail hearing.
