Stolen tractor trailer

A stolen tractor trailer has been recovered and its driver
arrested.

The incident took place shortly after midnight On March 13 shortly after midnight Sunday when a security officer at Laidlaw Carriers on Highway 11 North witnessed a tractor-trailer leaving the yard.

The security officer called company officials and confirmed that this was a theft in progress. The Ontario Provincial Police were contacted and eventually the vehicle was stopped in Sundridge. The officers made an arrest and recovered the unit and its load of lumber worth $200,000. For further information please contact the OPP directly.
