Meanwhile, the day before, police were called to a Cache Bay residence where the homeowner complained about a paving job that was just done.

The officer was told that he had paid for paving of his driveway, but felt the results were sub-standard.

The complainant said that the paving was not bonding and that the job was not very good.

The officer examined the work that had been performed and noticed loose gravel at different areas of the driveway.

The officer told the complainant that this was a civil issue and he would have to pursue it on his own.

Police are warning home owners regarding out of town businesses offering home improvement work at low cost.

Owners should ask to look at other local jobs that have been performed by this company prior to paying for the work.
