Stack gets nine months in jail

Ontario Court Justice Jean-Gilles Lebel handed former Scollard Hall principal Mike Stack nine months in jail Wednesday.

In October Stack, 52, pled guilty to defrauding and stealing from the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board and students over a five year period starting back in 2000.

Reports indicate that Judge Lebel felt house arrest would not send a strong enough message to others in the same position of trust.

Stack has repaid $8,700 of the $94,000 he took.
