Splash pad fundraiser planned

A lot of communities surrounding North Bay have splash pads, now the Rotary Club is stepping up fundraising efforts to get one for North Bay.

It's planning Rotaract’s "Poutine, Pints & Plaid".

You’re invited to put on your best plaid, and dine on gourmet poutine and Canadian beer during a night filled with games and live entertainment.

The event benefits the construction of the Rotary Splash Pad Park in North Bay.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 20 at Best Western, on Lakeshore Drive.

Tickets are $35 or two for $60 and must be purchased in advance at the Best Western (cheque only) or by contacting the Rotaract Club at 705-492-2660 or [email protected].

The evening includes a cash bar and live entertainment courtesy of the Terrorbirds.

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. 

Since 2009, the Rotaract Club of North Bay–Nipissing has supported local charities including PADDLE, Literacy Nipissing and the North Bay Cancer Society, as well as organized community events, such as the Day of Giving.
