Seven hundred and fifty Kilometres in three days. Six riders discovering the vast wide open spaces, through destination after destination… All in the comfort of Ontario’s Wilderness Region!

This year’s recipient of the OFSC Volunteer of the Year award has been selected and is ready to ride on up to Northern Ontario and Ontario’s Wilderness Region, for the yearly FAM Tour. Dave Sharp from St Mary’s, Ontario has been selected as the most outstanding volunteer of 2007 and has been given the opportunity to ride with a partner, for a three night getaway into Ontario’s Wilderness Region.
The winner will be starting out in New Liskeard and will be making his way through our vast snowmobile trails for three great days of nice rides and friendly gatherings.

Dave and his guest will be followed by Snowmobiler TV, as they prepare to shoot and promote this FAM on the air. On February 25th, the group will be meeting with the president of the OFSC Bruce Robinson, as his group is on ride coming from the northern part of OWR. Both groups will meet up in Kirkland Lake for lunch.

“This is a great opportunity to once again demonstrate how amazing our scenery and trails actually are. It also shows how much work is put into keeping them (our trails) well groomed and safe,” says Ontario’s Wilderness Region’s Marketing Manager Jamie Dallaire.

Dallaire offered his congratulations to Dave Sharp for his excellent work and commended OTMPC for their continuing support year after year with tourism in Northern Ontario.
Please check the itinerary for more details on the ride and where we will be heading.
