The South River - Sundridge Airport Committee wishes to invite everyone to join our 75th Anniversary Celebration and Fly-in.

In recognition of 75 years of operation within our community, a special event is planned on Saturday September 20th 2008 to remember the past and envision the future.

The festivities begin when the airport opens at 10am. On display will be historic airport information and photos, static aircraft displays, local businesses and vendors. Several fly-in aircraft are expected to attend, including tentative visits from the Ontario Provincial Police Aviation Unit (helicopter and Highway Safety Division Cessna 206) and Ministry of Natural Resources (helicopter and Turbo Beaver aircraft). Come on out and see all the amazing aircraft!

BBQ Food and fresh corn will be available on site starting at 12 noon, with proceeds going to planned airport improvements.

Official presentations from the committee start at 1:30pm. Invited representatives include:

• Prime Minister’s Office
• The Hon. Tony Clement MP
• The Hon. Norm Miller MPP
• Mr. Ron Begin, FEDNOR
• Mr. John Quartermain, Chairman – Canadian Owners & Pilot’s Association
• Senior Canadian Forces Staff
• OPP Regional & Detachment Command Staff
• Mayors, Councils and Municipal Staff Members

Bring your chairs and join us as we celebrate the past and look to the future! Food, fun, shopping and of course airplanes!
