So That No One Is Lonely

Many residents in this generous community of ours will be alone and lonely and many will go hungry.
2015 11 30 turkey dinner

Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year, a time when most of us spend precious times with family and friends. It is also a time when many of us enjoy belt-loosening, multi-course meals. But surprisingly, many residents in this generous community of ours will be alone and lonely and many will go hungry.

The Community Christmas Day Dinner Committee is committed to ensuring that “No One Goes Hungry and No One Is Lonely” this Christmas. On Friday, December 25th our committee will host a full course turkey dinner that will run from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. in the parish hall of the Pro-Cathedral  It is our goal to establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere where our guests, both individuals and families, can relax, chat with friends, perhaps establish new friendships, enjoy some music and most of all dig into a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Please come and take home a “Goodie Bag” as you leave.

Our thanks go out to the Pro-Cathedral for their willingness to let us use their parish hall and to all of the generous North Bay businesses who have provided the necessities for this gathering.

We Need Volunteers

We still need plenty of volunteers to help us with all aspects of this meal. If you wish to volunteer please call 705 471-4447 and leave a message giving your name and phone number. We will get back to you

The Community Christmas Day Dinner Committee is a non-profit, non-denominational organization with the mandate  “ To Create a Warm and Comfortable Atmosphere For Those Who Wish to Share a Christmas Meal”
