We have wrapped up another successful year. The support we received from the Blue Sky Region was again greatly appreciated.

We are showing revenue this year of $82,286.00 dollars. The decrease this year over last is largely due to operating costs for a full year as apposed to six months and having to pick up all the maintenance costs for the year. The decrease in volunteer participation, and donations, had an impact on the bottom line as well. We feel the lack of snow early on, the rain, and the poor timing of some of the snowstorms also contributed to a difficult year. We are looking ahead to a better year.

The funding from Communities in Action Fund helped us promote physical activity, expand our rental fleet and offer more programs through our

“Experience Our Hill” program. This is the program that gives underprivileged children an opportunity to come out and try skiing or snowboarding and gain some valuable life lessons and self-confidence along the way.

We are in negotiations with The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority to extend our agreement for a longer period as we feel that the hill is viable once again and we are very optimistic for the future. Our association with The Conservation Authority has been one of cooperation to date and we expect that to continue well into the future.
