The North Bay & Parry Sound District Health Unit announced another six positive COVID-19 cases in the region bringing the active case count to 14 overall in the health unit region and 12 in the District of Nipissing.

Of the six cases, three are 19 years of age or younger with the other three in the 20 to 39 age category.

All six are described as contracting COVID-19 through "close contact of a case."

All the active cases are in isolation.

The mayor of North Bay expressed his concern this afternoon on social media.

"More bad news, six new cases," stated McDonald.

"Okay everyone, this is getting serious. We need everyone to come together and encourage everyone to do their part. This is real and it is up to all of us to be part of the solution."

Overall the province of Ontario has seen 1,373 new COVID-19 cases today alongside 35 deaths.
