Sirens in the Park gives kids close up look at emergency services

The annual Sirens in the Park in Callander had kids squealing with delight.

Great weather Saturday at Centennial Park in Callander meant another successful Sirens in the Park event.

This year included a number of community partners including the North Bay Police, OPP, East Ferris Fire Department. and the MNRF 

The day is organized by the Callander Volunteer Firefighters Association with a goal of providing fire safety education. The goal is to increase safety and awareness. 

It's their fifth year hosting “Sirens in the Park”.

Visitors met the firefighters and learned about the equipment. there were vehicle tours throughout the day with Bouncy Castles, food concession, demonstrations, and the movie at dusk featured  Disney's Inside Out.

All activities were free.
