Shovels hit Trout Lake Road next week

Delays and interruptions to traffic are to be expected

Work on the Trout Lake Road overpass project will get started and motorists and pedestrians are being warned to make advance plans.

Due to the nature of the work, traffic will be reduced to two lanes on the overpass (one lane in each direction) for the duration of the project which is scheduled for completion November 2017. This transition will take place early next week and therefore delays and interruptions to traffic are to be expected.

Pedestrians will be redirected according to the staged works.

The multiuse pathway beneath the overpass is anticipated to remain open for most of the time.

It may, however, be closed and the users detoured if public safety is a concern.

You are asked to follow the direction of the signage when crossing the construction site. There will be a City inspector available onsite for the duration of the project to liaise with the public.

The contract has been awarded to Miller Paving Limited.
