The Canadian government is set to expand its air strikes into Syria and extend the length of time our country will be involved in the battle against ISIS.

Prime Minister Harper says the terrorist group's power base, heavy military equipment and capital is located across the border from northern Iraq.

But both the Liberals and NDP say expanding airstrikes across the border will only benefit Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's murderous regime.

The government seeks to extend the mission "to a date not beyond March 30, 2016."

Do you think we should expand the airstrikes? Vote at the bottom of our main page under "Today's Poll" and leave your opinion under the comments section.
