A day after reports indicated that Shoeless Joe’s restaurant on McKeown Avenue was closing, the business has indicated that is not the case.

“Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill – North Bay is temporarily closed, re-opening soon,” stated the Shoeless Joe’s Facebook page on Monday night.

A sign on the front door of the store indicates the same.

“Shoeless Joe’s North Bay is Closed,” reads the sign.

“We will be reopening soon.  We regret any inconvenience and wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.”

Shoeless Joe’s was the third location on McKeown Avenue to close its doors including St. Louis Bar & Grill in September and Miner’s Son in June.

While those restaurants closed, a Mr. Sub opened further down McKeown in the Lucky 13/Crevier Gas Bar this summer.  A health food restaurant called Freshii Green on the corner of McKeown avenue and the bypass in the strip mall recently opened, and another restaurant is preparing to open in the old St. Louis Bar & Grill location.
