North Bay police arrested a 55-year old North Bay man at his home Saturday morning after a complaint about a sexual assault.
Police say the accused sexually assaulted a woman known to him at his own home on Sunday April 3rd and then stopped her from leaving.
The woman was able to contact a friend who arrived at the house to help her leave. The victim and her friend left the house together shortly thereafter.
Police have charged a man with:
- One count of sexual assault; and
- One count of forcible confinement.
The accused, who was not named, was released from custody with a court date scheduled for May 24th.
