UPDATE Missing hunter found dead (Seventy-seven year old hunter missing near North Bay)

Update 8:10 a.m. Thursday.

OPP say on November 8, at approximately 2:30 p.m., while an active search was ongoing, Murray Skuce, age 77, of East Ferris Township, was located deceased. No foul play is suspected.  

Mr. Skuce was previously reported missing on November 7, near Lennon Lake in Hardy Township. 

A post mortem exam is to be conducted tomorrow by the Coroner.

OPP are searching for a 77-year-old hunter again this morning after he went missing Monday.

Yesterday at 9:57 a.m., they received a call about a missing hunter near Lennon Lake in Hardy Township.

Murray Skuce, of East Ferris Township, is reported to have gone hunting on foot on November 6. It is reported that he knows the area very well, but he did not meet up with family at the predetermined time.

Officers from the North Bay OPP detachment searched the scene yesterday by boat along with the Ministry of Natural Resources, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, OPP Snow Machine, All Terrain Vehicle and Vessel Enforcement Unit, OPP Aviation Services: Helicopter Division and family of the missing person. 

The OPP Helicopter utilized the Forward Looking Infra Red device. 

The search will continue today.
