A 22-year-old Callander man was arrested Monday and charged in connection with an incident which took place in December in North Bay.
Constables Fernando Cirullo and Larry Asselin of the North Bay Police Service arrested the man in relation to a previously reported robbery. The arrest took place at a residence on Wasi Road in Callander.
The alleged robbery involved a male in the Fisher Street and Worthington Street area who was attacked and punched several times. He had suffered fractures to the face.
Dwayne DESBIENS, of Wasi Road, is charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Another suspect had been arrested Dec. 25 in 2004 in relation to this incident.
