Search warrant uncovers grow op

Evanturel Twp - On the 15th of December 2009, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section assisted by members of the OPP Temiskaming Shores Detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at an Evanturel Township residence.

As a result, an indoor Cannabis marihuana grow operation was dismantled. The seized Cannabis marihuana has a potential street value of over $540,000.00. One person has been arrested and charged.

Charged and released via a Promise to Appear:

Gregory Scott PAGE (age 37yrs) of Glackmeyer Township.

· Production of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – Cannabis marihuana.

· Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – Cannabis marihuana.

· Breach Undertaking contrary to section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code.
