Search continues for missing man

M’Chigeeng – Manitoulin OPP and the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service are continuing their search for a missing man and are asking for the public’s assistance. Jason MAURICE age 27 years, of Mindemoya, Ontario. Police have now released a picture of the missing man in hopes that someone may have recognized him. MAURICE is described as 6’ 6” with a slim build, weighing approximately 180 lbs, with green eyes. He is believed to be wearing a white/grey with red striping Columbia jacket. He was also wearing a blue EXCO ball cap, and blue jeans.

Jason was last seen in the early morning hours on Sunday, December 02, 2007 in the M’Chigeeng First Nation shortly after the power outage occurred.

The OPP Canine Unit along with the Espanola North Shore Search and Rescue Unit, along with the OPP Emergency Response Team are conducting the ground search.
