Mandy Berg and Warriors joined ScotiaBank manager, Grant Guy and the Warriors of Hope President, Diana Walton on Friday morning when ScotiaBank made a large donation to the Warriors. ScotiaBank has been a committed supporter of the Breast Cancer Survivor Dragonboat Racing Team since its inception.
It is with this kind of financial support that the Warriors of Hope can continue to practice and race in dragonboat festivals at the provincial and national level. North Bay’s only year-round competitive dragonboat racing team competes locally at the Bell / Rotary festival and this year competed in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Community support also helps the Warriors meet their main mandate of promoting breast cancer awareness and the fact that there can be an active life after breast cancer.
