Police want to speak to a school bus driver after a cyclist was struck near the overpass Saturday morning.

A 41-year old man reports that he was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk against the flow of traffic travelling towards downtown on the overpass at about 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 5th.

The cyclist was then struck by a yellow school bus while it was turning from Oak Street East onto Main Street East.

The driver stopped to speak to the cyclist who he believed was uninjured, and then he left the scene.

The cyclist later went to hospital to seek medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved and anyone who may have witnessed this collision are asked to contact Constable Darcy Wall at the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 or to come to North Bay Police headquarters in person at 135 Princess Street West.
