School board launches new website

The Near North District School Board website has a new name and a new look at www.nearnorthschools.ca! The newly designed website has been created specifically for parents, students and community members.

Users will find key information in easy-to-navigate drop-down menus about each school, student registration and programs and services. Two additional sections, About Us and Boardroom, will provide the public with key business and Board-related information. Schools will be invited to submit content to a section entitled In the Spotlight, which appears on the main page. This section will highlight good news items across the district. Also on the main page, a scrolling list of important business items will appear, such as upcoming professional activity dates.

Another feature of the main page is a quick reference drop down menu, to assist users in finding frequently searched topics. In addition, links for live bus information, local forecasts and a New to the Near North section are featured.

The new website design incorporates the Director’s theme, Grow with Us! The Near North District School Board hopes that people from the Near North and beyond will use and enjoy this new site. Please visit us at www.nearnorthschools.ca and bookmark it as one of your “favourites!”
