St Andrews United Church will be hosting a second "evening of fine dining and music" Friday, April 23 at the Clarion Pinewood Resort in support of needed renovations at the church.

The evening will feature Doreen Bryer, a well known classical harpist, to play the first pieces of music. Dr Michael Arthurs, his son Adam, and Kay Heuer will perform as a classical string trio and following the 5 course dinner, Brian McDowell will finish the evening with a classical guitar duet.

Deteriorating wall foundations have necessitated estimated
repairs of $250,000 towards the work that needs to be done. While the congregation has grown smaller over the last number of years, they all strongly believe the old church, regarded by many as a heritage site in the community, is well worth the effort needed to raise the needed funds.

Similar to other aging places of worship around North Bay, like the Cassells St Synagogue, precisely because they are a place of worship they are not eligible for assistance from any other levels of government and are left to their own resources to raise the needed renovation monies.

For more information on the evening or to reserve tickets,
which are $100 with a $60 tax receipt, please call St Andrews at 472-7680.
