Rough arrest

Two North Bay Police Service constables received minor injuries Monday after being allegedly attacked by someone they were arresting. Det. Cst. Aaron Northrup and Cst.
Two North Bay Police Service constables received minor injuries Monday after being allegedly attacked by someone they were arresting.

Det. Cst. Aaron Northrup and Cst. Bruce Whitehead were attempting to execute criminal warrants on a man in a North Bay parking lot. The man became assaultive and allegedly attacked the two officers. Other officers were called to assist in effecting this arrest.

The man was subdued,and the two officers attended the North Bay General Hospital and received medical attention for minor injuries.

David BISO, 37, of Percy Street, is facing charges of assaulting police, assault to resist an arrest, breach of probation and two counts of possessing a controlled substance (marijuana & cocaine). He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
