Rotary Rose Day-Help Rotary Help Kids Locally

It is one of our main annual fundraisers .One of the best things that I get out of it is when they get delivered, the amount of smiles and the happy people you get to see.

Surprise someone with a dozen long-stem roses or carnations and support the Rotary Club of North Bay and its many community projects.

Rotary Rose Day has been an important fundraiser for the club, delighting residents for over 50 years.

“It is one of our main annual fundraisers. It could one year go to fund part of the children’s committee, and the next year it could help fund the youth committee. These committees have different projects that they work on every year,” explained Rotary Rose Day Chair Steve Wright.

This year’s fundraiser runs from Friday, June 16th to Monday, June 19.

The cost is $30 per dozen, which includes taxes.

Pre-order your roses or carnations early, through any member of the Rotary Club of North Bay or online at rotaryroseday.ca

Walk-ins are also available at Jackman’s Florists, 157 Worthington Street East from 9 am to 5 pm starting Friday, June 16th to Monday June 19th.

Rotarians will also be out and about delivering pre-ordered flowers for those who have asked, on Saturday, June 17.

“It’s a fundraiser, but it’s also a fellowship-type project where it brings all the Rotarians together and then it connects us to the community as well, because we’re out there doing the deliveries,” said Wright.

“One of the best things that I get out of it is when they get delivered, the amount of smiles and the happy people you get to see. It is really a lot of fun,” shared Wright.
