A North Bay man faces charges following a robbery at a pharmacy on Lakeshore Drive.
City police say that yesterday evening, at approximately 7:15, a man tried to rob a pharmacy on Algonquin Avenue, but was unsuccessful and fled.
Police arrived but were unsuccessful in finding the thief.
Two hours later, at approximately 9:20 p.m., a 911 caller reported that a robbery was taking place at a pharmacy on Lakeshore Drive.
Upon arrival, police were told that an man wearing a hat and a scarf around his face had left the building on foot with a number of unpaid medications valued at approximately $4,500.
No weapons were used in the incident and nobody was injured.
Police found the suspect on foot on Gertrude Street West where he was arrested for robbery.
A search revealed that he was in possession of the drugs that were reported stolen from the Lakeshore Drive pharmacy.
As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police charged Jeffery Ronald Quenneville, age 30, of North Bay with:
• one count of attempted robbery;
• one count of robbery;
• one count of disguise with intent;
• one count of breach of undertaking; and
• three counts of breach of probation.
