Rising Stars Performance will address important seniors issues

What: The Stay on Your Feet Coalition of North Bay is hosting a public performance by the North Bay Rising Stars. The local theatre troupe will be performing lighthearted skits and songs about important seniors’ issues including falls prevention, active living and safe medicating.

Why: As the senior population continues to grow, so does the importance of falls prevention. Falls are predictable and preventable and seniors should take control of their own mobility and independence.

The North Bay Rising Stars is a theatre troupe composed of older adults who use lighthearted skits and songs to educate other seniors about important issues. The Stay on Your Feet Coalition of North Bay aims to decrease the number and severity of falls among adults over 65 in the North Bay district through awareness, education and the coordination of community-based falls prevention activities.
