A respiratory outbreak caused by COVID has been declared at Lakeland Long-Term Care Home in Parry Sound by The North Bay Parry Sound District Health.

A COVID-19 outbreak is declared with a single laboratory-confirmed case in a resident or staff member of a long-term care home. The person who tested positive is a staff member at the long-term care home says a news release.

The individual is currently in isolation and individuals who are high-risk contacts have been contacted by the Health Unit and are self-isolating.
