The Department of National Defense has begun talks with the provinces and territories to Improve the coordination of services across the country, and the relocation process for Canadian Armed Forces members and their families.

Throughout their careers, CAF members and their families are required to relocate to bases and wings across the country.

The "Seamless Canada" meeting is the first step in opening lines of communication and laying the groundwork for cooperation between DND, CAF, provinces and territories. The purpose of the meeting was awareness of issues specific to CAF members and their families in order to Improve the transition of the military families between provinces and territories.

"Investing in the women and men of our Canadian Armed Forces is our top priority," said Harjit S. Sajjan, Defense Minister. "Relocations are a difficult experience for CAF members and their families, and we are committed to resolving transitional issues and easing that burden. We will continue to work collaboratively to find solutions that will Improve the lives of Canada's military families."
