With the summer in full swing, the North Bay Branch of the Canadian Red Cross would like to invite boys and girls aged 11 and over to register for one of our fun, interactive Babysitting Courses. We will be offering at least 2 courses this summer; the first will be Saturday, July 19th from 9am-3pm at the North Bay Public Library. The second is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, and will be held at the Branch Office, 1275 Main Street West.

The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course focuses on care giving for children of all ages, first aid and injury prevention, confidence, professionalism and leadership. Participants receive the Babysitter’s Manual, an excellent resource and guide for new and experienced babysitters, which includes activity guides, worksheets for creating a great looking résumé’, and sample business cards! When your child completes the course, they will receive an official Red Cross Babysitting Course wallet card that they can keep with them at all times. This course also meets current First Aid and CPR guidelines, and is taught by Facilitators trained by the Canadian Red Cross.
