Reading for the record

The North Bay Public Library hosted the ‘Read for the Record’ event Thursday.

The event featured local American Eagle Outfitters employee Steve Saad, in full costume, reading the story of ‘Ferdinand’ in effort to show the importance of early childhood education across Canada and the United States.

Hundreds of institutions across Canada and the United States participated in an effort to set a world record for having the largest number of children reading a single book with an adult on the same day.
