Local RBC Royal Bank employees presented North Bay and District Hospital Foundation Krista Chamberlain, Annual Gift Development Associate with a cheque for $2,500 for the 2007 'lets run with it' Walk/Run event.

"This donation is a reflection of RBC's commitment to the North Bay and District Hospital," commented Lauri Petz, Regional Vice President for RBC North Bay and area. In addition to the donation, RBC employees rallied together to participate & volunteer in the walk. "Our employees want to volunteer in their neighbourhoods and felt it was important to support this significant cause."

Foundation Executive Director Lois Krause says the RBC Royal Walkers were the winners of the 'lets run with it' Community Team Challenge winners at the 2007 Walk/Run event. "The RBC Royal Walkers raised $1,158 in pledges and donations and had 34 participants. They were a perfect example of the kind of team spirit we were looking for in our Community Team Challenge," Kruase said.

"I was absolutely thrilled to participate in the walk with RBC colleagues and clients," said Lauri Petz. "We are committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work and this donation and fundraising initiative is a way for us to give back to the North Bay and District Hospital to help support the incredible work they are doing."

The money donated today will go towards the greatest needs at the North Bay and District Hospital.
