Rainfall warning for this evening and Wednesday

Rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm are expected by early Thursday morning with locally higher amounts in excess of 75 mm in areas that receive multiple thunderstorms

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for:

  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
  • West Nipissing - French River
  • Bayfield Inlet - Dunchurch
  • South River - Burk's Falls
  • Témiscaming area,
  • Huntsville - Baysville,
  • Port Carling - Port Severn
  • Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park
  • Deep River - Whitney - Eastern Algonquin Park,
      

Significant rainfall is expected tonight through Wednesday night.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to begin this evening and will continue through at least Wednesday night.

Rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm are expected by early Thursday morning with locally higher amounts in excess of 75 mm in areas that receive multiple thunderstorms.

Some flooding is possible.

There is the risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. Local rain amounts around.5 to 10 mm. Tonight, showers, at times heavy with the risk of a thunderstorm early this evening. Local amount 20 to 30 mm. Wednesday, showers, at times heavy. Local amount 10 to 20 mm. Thursday, more showers.

This rainfall is due to a cold front and a moisture-laden low-pressure system that will arrive from the American Mid-west.

In addition, there is a special weather statement in effect for:

  • Ville-Marie area
  • Bracebridge - Gravenhurst

Significant rainfall is expected tonight through Wednesday night. Rainfall warnings are possible later today.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to begin late this evening or tonight and will continue through at least Wednesday night.

Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are expected by early Thursday morning with locally higher amounts in areas that receive multiple thunderstorms.

Rainfall Warnings may be required for portions of the area.
