Rain tapering off today.

A rapidly intensifying low pressure system is forecast to track across Northeastern Ontario this morning and reach Quebec by early afternoon.

Rain associated with this low continues over Northeastern Ontario and is expected to taper off late this morning near Lake Superior and this afternoon near the Quebec border.

Another 2 to 10 mm of rain is possible today.

As of 11:14am EDT Thursday, Environment Canada continued a rainfall warning for North Bay - Powassan - Mamtawa and West Nipissing - French River North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa.

40 to 60 mm of rain expected by Friday morning.

A low pressure system developing over the Southwestern U.S. will continue it's trek toward Ontario today. Rain associated with this low will reach the near north early this morning with the bulk of the rain falling today and tonight. This means a wet evening for trick or treaters. Rain will come to an end Friday as the system moves into Quebec.

Total rain amounts with this event are expected to be in the 40 to 60 mm range.

As of 9:21pm EDT Wednesday, Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for North Bay - Powassan - Mamtawa and West Nipissing - French River North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa.

40 to 60 mm of rain expected Thursday and Thursday night.

A developing low pressure system over Colorado will track towards Ontario tonight. Rain associated with this low will reach the near north overnight with the bulk of the rain falling Thursday and Thursday night. This means a wet evening for trick or treaters. Rain will come to an end Friday as the system moves into Quebec.

Total rain amounts with this event are expected to be in the 40 to 60 mm range. This will reach the rainfall warning criteria of 50 mm or more in 24 hours or less, in most areas.
