The latest payment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation to the City of North Bay for hosting Cascades Casino for the period covering January 1 – March 31 totals $371,122.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024), North Bay has received $1,492,594.  Since the gaming site opened in March 2022, North Bay has received $3,108,750.

These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.

OLG shares proceeds from casino gaming with local communities, and 100 per cent of OLG’s profits are reinvested in the province.

"Land-based casinos offer good, local jobs and play an important role in supporting strong, vibrant communities for families to live, work and play,” said Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance.
