Public to have their say on Almaguin Highlands' new school

The public meeting schedule has been announced for the public to have their say with regard to the new Almaguin Highlands Secondary School. Meetings will be held as listed below:

Restoule Community Centre – 7:00 p.m. - September 23rd
Sundridge Community Centre – 7:00 – September 24th
Powassan Council Chambers – 7:00 p.m. –October 6th
Magnetawan Community Centre – 3:00 p.m. – October 1st
Burk’s Falls Land of Lakes School – 7:00 p.m. – October 1st
South River Arena – October 2nd – 7:00 p.m. – October 2nd
Emsdale Evergreen Heights Ed Centre – 7:00 p.m - October 3rd

“These meeting are critical in terms of hearing from the general public with regard to what they would see as priorities in the development of this facility,” stated committee chair Lois Cookman. “Now is the time for the public to provide input into what they deem as important. This facility will have the potential to serve as a hub for many activities in the area and in order to determine what those priorities are; we need to hear from the public”.
