North Bay Police Services Board By-law # 030/00 establishes a schedule of fees to provide equitable service and allow for cost recovery. The Board intends to discuss raising fees in relation to the Traffic Initiative Program from $75.00 to $100.00 and for obtaining copies of Motor Vehicle Collision reports from $30.00 to $35.00. These discussions will take place during the next Board meeting on March 9, 2004, 12:00 p.m. at Police headquarters. 135 Princess St. W., North Bay.

The Traffic Initiatives Program authorizes officers issuing Offence Notices the option, subject to a number of restrictions, of issuing a Traffic Education Notice that the violator can exercise in disposing of the charge. There is a fee for service associated to this program.

In cases where officers are called upon to investigate a reportable collision they are required to complete a Motor Vehicle Collision Report. Copies of these reports can be obtained for a fee through the Traffic Section.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting and make representations with respect to the above noted proposed changes.
