1. Current Situation

There were 2 new fires reported yesterday in Sudbury and Wawa districts. The Sudbury fire was a grass fire and required air and ground attack to quell at 7 ha. and the Wawa fire was caused by lightning and is being held at 2.5 ha. No further concerns with these new or ongoing fires.

The hazard is starting to build throughout the eastern portions of the province. Thunder shower activity and periods of rain will move into the west today, tonight and will continue into the weekend.
